At Blue Fountain Wealth Management our process is simple and revolves around you, the client. Each step along the way is focused on solving your needs, not billing you for our time or wasting yours. Our clients generally engage the firm in one of two ways, depending on their goals, which we define as “Comprehensive” and “Project” level engagements.

A comprehensive engagement involves analyzing the client’s unique financial situation from a 10,000 aerial view, then drilling down into the specific areas we find in need of improvement. Most long-term clients use this approach, but it is more time intensive and requires as much detail as possible from the client to be successful.

Alternatively, a project engagement involves solving one particular need as defined by the client. Newer clients often engage the firm in this way due to a specific pain point or objective needing quick resolution.

While different in scope each engagement follows a similar process, beginning with a discovery meeting to gather the facts to determine if Blue Fountain Wealth Management can be of value, as well as define the scope and cost to accomplish the goal.

Once the facts are gathered, our financial advisors will create a strategy and present to the client to review along with the cost involved.
Finally, if the client is fully satisfied with the strategy provided, our financial advising team will begin the implementation process.

Business Planning

Business Planning

When hiring someone for succession planning and business management, it is essential to find a candidate with a strong understanding of organizational dynamics, leadership development, and strategic planning. They should possess expertise in identifying and nurturing talent within the organization, as well as the ability to create comprehensive succession plans that align with the company's long-term goals. The ideal candidate should have a deep knowledge of various leadership styles and be able to assess the potential of current employees for future leadership roles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as they will be working closely with key stakeholders, executives, and potential successors.

Additionally, the candidate should have a solid understanding of the industry and market trends to ensure the succession plan is adaptable and aligned with the company's competitive landscape. Conducting thorough interviews, checking references, and assessing their track record in successful succession planning are all important steps in the hiring process to ensure the chosen candidate can effectively guide the organization through leadership transitions and ensure its long-term success.

Investment Management

Investment Management

When it comes to hiring for investment management, it is crucial to find a financial advisor who possess the necessary expertise, experience, and track record in the field. Investment managers should have a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management techniques. They should also have a proven ability to generate consistent returns and effectively navigate market fluctuations. Additionally, strong analytical and research skills are essential for identifying potential investment opportunities and making informed decisions. Our investment committee makes these decisions in-house and always with the client’s goals at the heart of every trade.

Connection between the client and their investment manager is key, but this can be an issue when your investment manager does not often work closely with the client. If your investments are not aligned with you, your goals, or your tolerance to risk, problems can arise.

Estate Planning

Estate Planning

When hiring a financial planner for estate planning, it is crucial to find a qualified and experienced professional who specializes in this field. Estate planning involves the strategic management and distribution of assets to ensure they are transferred smoothly and efficiently to intended beneficiaries upon the individual's death.

An estate planning professional should have a strong understanding of legal and financial matters related to estate planning, including wills, trusts, tax implications, and probate processes. They should be able to assess an individual's unique circumstances and goals and provide tailored strategies to  help manage and preserve their assets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also important, as estate planning often involves sensitive family dynamics and discussions. It is advisable to seek recommendations, review credentials, and conduct interviews to ensure that the chosen professional has the necessary experience and can provide the guidance needed to partner with legal professionals and create your customized, comprehensive, and ultimately effective estate plan.
